Massimo Vitali

Massimo Vitali's photographs remind me a lot of Christian Chaize's work. Again, I like the bright colors of the swimsuits and towels against the neutral sand. Both photographers' work has so much life and a total carefree feel. I like how his work reflects on how people spend their leisure time. It also makes me think of the masses and conformity, with beach towels lined up as far as the eye can see. The scenes are definitely appealing, but are we so desperate for sunshine and leisure time that we subject ourselves to crowds like this?

South Beach

I love this photo of Miami. The lighting is really cool in how you get the essence of the beach and silhouetted palm trees while also getting the feel of the vibrant night life from the neon lit up buildings. I like the colors a lot.

New Thinking

Ceiling molds as wall designs? Yes please. I always enjoy when artists give new life to an object by dreaming up a new use for it. These ceiling molds create a truly interesting wall and their texture adds to the draw.

Plaid

Masculine interior plaids are wonderful. I love their dark colors and east coast, cozy, traditional feel.

Inspiration Boards

Compiling this blog and sketchbook has piqued my interest in inspiration boards and the creative process people follow.

James Nares

James Nares flowing brush stroke paintings are great. I will always love this vivid blue also. The paintings have so much movement and life for how simple they are. Nares' suspension technique for painting is also very fascinating. Artists create their work in the most interesting ways and his work is a great reminder than just because you're painting you don't have to be constrained by conventional brushes and methods.

Party People

I want to go to a party with table landscapes like these! They are so well coordinated with colors and patterns and the details are very fun. I like the grand center pieces and light fixtures. It's just a coincidence that these tables are heavily pink and orange (one of my favorites), but having such a fun color scheme can never hurt.
